The Bunch is an independent Welsh gastropub, microbrewery and independent craft beer destination nestled in the heart of Pontypridd. Combining seasonal food, exceptional beer and genuine Welsh hospitality, we offer a unique dining and drinking experience shaped by local heritage, quality ingredients and a passion for craftsmanship.
A Pontypridd landmark since 1851, the Bunch of Grapes blends the soul of a traditional Welsh pub with the quality and ambition of a modern gastropub. Rooted in local history yet shaped by contemporary standards, it remains a place where community, craft and warm hospitality come together.
Our open‑plan kitchen champions Welsh produce, with seasonal menus inspired by the region’s culinary heritage. Working closely with local farmers, butchers, fishmongers and artisan makers, we create dishes that celebrate provenance and place exceptional ingredients at the centre of every plate.
Our bar features one of Wales’ most distinctive beer selections, with nine cask handpulls and five keg taps offering a handpicked range of craft beer from leading independent breweries - both on the bar and in our bottle shop. This includes beers brewed just metres away in our onsite Cwrw Otley microbrewery, continuing the innovative legacy of the pioneering Otley Brewing Co (2005–2017).

The Bunch occupies a unique position alongside the historic last remaining double lock of the Glamorganshire Canal, reflecting Pontypridd's rich industrial heritage and longstanding connection to the community and Welsh culture.
Brewed just metres from the bar, our onsite Cwrw Otley microbrewery produces a rotating range of small‑batch beers using a 500‑litre brewhouse and five fermentation vessels.
From classic cask ales to modern independent keg styles, every beer crafted focuses on quality, character and flavour - continuing the innovative spirit of the original Otley Brewing Co (2005–2017).
